Ashray Forever…

It is obvious that we would like to have Ashray running in perpetuity. We are looking for long term support for the continuation of the good work that Ashray is doing as well as the creation of the expansion projects.  Become a friend of Ashray by agreeing to support us monthly with an automatic debit.  You will receive our bi-monthly news, with issues up for discussion, being part of a think tank for social welfare and development.

As Father Francis tours North America he’ll be asking those in large cities to create a “Friends of Ashray” group.  A group of dedicated people, raising funds to contribute for the maintenance of Ashray as well as sponsoring the larger future projects like; the women’s shelter, the sober restaurant, the children’s playfield, the co-operative garden revival, etc.,

It is astonishing that 67% of Indians live on less than one dollar a day – this is material poverty.  Amazingly, as malnourished and underprivileged as they are, they continue to smile and laugh and play – the children and the grown-ups!
