Each year, ACT hosts a number of events which bring together students from the Ashray School and other classes held at the ACT center as well as members of the community. We celebrate holidays like Diwali, Christmas, Republic Day, and Holi. Our cultural programs showcase Ashray students and their talents in music, dance, and drama, their performances including both traditional and contemporary art forms. In response to the terrorist attacks in Paris and Pathankot, ACT held ceremonies to offer our condolences and educate our students about what’s happening in the world. And each year, the ACT annual educational tour gives the children of the basti the rare opportunity to go out of Varanasi and visit sites like the Hanuman statue and Sita temple at Sitamarhi.
